The following itinerary is prepared based on the cultural root of the country.
The following itinerary is prepared on the lower Omo Valley of South Ethiopia. This place is commonly said as the “Lost World”. There are over 15 Ethnic groups concentrated in this area.
Generally the Omo Valley is a patchwork of many different tribes. A large number of ancient African tribes are still living in the Omo Valley region of Southern Ethiopia. Those tribes have been living near the Omo river for centuries.
They have some strange traditions, outfits, makeup…etc. Their way of life is very special.
The lower Omo Valley is a lost world on the borders of Ethiopia, Kenya and Sudan. Far from any city and, this land remains one of the wildest in Africa.
It is a place to appreciate all of nature’s finest art pieces; from the sweet melodies of the birds to the rain drops & the tribes’ breathtaking body art are works of art in their own right. Painted, marked and scarified bodies. With colorful make-up of bright yellows, startling whites and rich earth-reds, flamboyant accessories and extraordinarily elaborate decorations, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the designs in these images originated in the fevered mind of some leading fashionista.You will simply appreciate the simplicity and elegance that nature has brought to the people of the Omo Valley through fashion
While visiting through the Omo valley, they will stay with the different tribes & share various experience with them.
On the tour the tourists will get access for different culture & tradition of the Lower Omo valley tribes.
Dag 1
Arrive to Addis Ababa. Transfer to the hotel. A city tour to ‘Markato’,which is Africa’s biggest open market. Also a visit to anthropologic & ethnological museums. The anthropological museum has famous collections including the popular “Lucy”
Also there will be a short visit to mount Entoto.A perfect spot to watch the city of Addis & with interesting liturgical museums. Overnight will be in one of the best hotels of Addis

- Drive to ‘Chencha’ to visit the ‘Dorze’ village. There they will share experience with the ‘Dorze’ people. They will learnhow to prepare bread from false banana,how to ferment local drink called ‘areki’,which keeps the people warmTraditional weavingThe special music & dances of ‘Dorze’ peopleOvernight will be at the traditional lodge of the “Dorze’ people

Drive to Arba Minch .On arrival they will have a boat ride over lake ‘chamo’,will watch hippopotamus, crocodile & some mammals. the area is also known as birds paradise, they will watch the different species of birds.
Then driving to ‘Konso’.on the way they will enjoy the dramatic landscapes of the konso people & the interesting baboons. On arrival they will contact the traditional king of the Konso people..
Overnight will be at “konso’ villages
Dag 4
In the morning they will meet the king & the clan leaders. They are 9/since they have nine clans/.They will also visit the ‘konso’ village & the traditional hoses.
The grave marker of ‘konso’ people which is called ‘waka’ & the generation pole. It is one of world heritage sights.
The ‘konso’ people are very hard workers & they are the first to teach Africans how to make teracess.There live hood is based on agriculture, weaving cotton clothes & farming
Also they will visit the so called ‘Newyork’ which is formed by erosion.
Overnight will be at ‘konso’ village

Drive to ‘Turme’. On the way they will visit tribe of ‘Tsemaye’. The “Tsemaye” people are also known for their body decoration from various soils
Overnight will be at ‘hammer’ village in ‘Turme’

A visit to ‘Hammer’ village. Hammers are one of the famous tribes of the Omo valley for their culture & tradition.Women”s makes their hair stylish, with clay & butter; they dressed themselves with skin skirt. The men always will handle a pillow made of wood for many different uses.
There they will watch bull jumping also. It is a special ceremony held by youngsters to show their readiness for marriage.
Overnight will be at Hammer village

- Drive to ‘Karo”. On there arrival they will visit the ‘Karo’ people & village. They are situated on the bank of Omo River.
The ‘Karo” people live on agriculture, fishing & animal husbandry.Therfore the tourists will learn some activites ,such as traditional fishing & animal husbandery
The ”Karo” people are famous for body painting arts using clays, charcoal & red soil.
Overnight will be at karo” village with the ” karo” people

Drive through “Mago” national park. On the way visiting Elephant,Buffalo,Giraffe & others.
Overnight will be camping in “Mago” national park, entertaining the night by listening the water flow of “Mago” river.
Dag 9
Drive from “Mago” park to “Mursi” village. On arrival visiting the very famous & highlight of the Omo valley tribes named “Mursi”.
The “Mursi” people are slim, tall & especially the women’s are famous for putting clay plate on their lower lips.
Men’s are famous for hunting & grazing big herds of cattle’s.
Afternoon will be driving back to Jinka. On arrival they will visit the national museums of Omo valley tribes.
Overnight will be at “Ari” village

Drive to “Arba minch”,it will be a long day drive. Overnight will be at “Gamo” village & share experience with the “Gamo” tribe

Drive to Addis Ababa via “Butageria”.On the way, they will visit “Tiya” standing stale at “Tiya” town. It dates from the 10th C & it is registered by UNESCO as one of the very famous grave markers of the “Oromo” & “Gurage” people.
Also they will also visit the historical churches of “Adadi maryam” dated back to the 13th C.It is carved by the popular king Lalibela.
They will also visit the archeological & Paleanthroplogic site of “Melka Kuntre” near by Awash River. It is a place where many archeologists done researches for the last 100 years.
Overnight will be in one of the hotel of Addis Ababa.
